Hi there. My name is Carol and I am a Lecturer/Advisor on Issues for Trans People

 I stopped living a lie and started living as my true self in 2001: I had my realignment surgery on February 1st 2005.  I graduated from The University of Sheffield in July 2004; BMedSci (Hons) in Health and Human Sciences.  During my time at University I started to give talks, run seminars and teach on the subject of: 'Transsexuality' which includes relevant material about my own personal journey.

I run seminars on all Issues for Trans People: I also provide lectures/teaching on this subject, which I believe will be of interest to Gender Studies-Sociology-Psychology and Counselling Courses. 

I can also provide training sessions for Service Providers, Statutory & Voluntary Organizations, Health Professionals and for those who feel they need to increase their awareness of Issues for Trans People.

 It is important to educate and show the world that Trans Women and Men do lead authentic and fulfilling lives, after which many have previously suffered years of anguish.

New short podcast: My last day as a fifty something.

On August 27th I wrote a piece in my online diary about my last day as a fifty something and how my fifties had been an amazing decade. I’ve decided to share it as a narration.

 

On 12-05-08 Carol Robson & Dr Ceri Parsons were interviewed on the debate programme Women’s Voice for Press TV the Iranian 24hr English News Channel.  The subject was Transsexuality; which partly covered Carol’s own transition, there are also three different faith guests on the phone during the programme discussing how their religion see and treat trans people.
